@AKnittingNurse Widowed in May. Made a plan. Adventures, friends, work… stuck to it, even on the shit days. I can definitely see the light and a future with happiness and joy, without forgetting… in fact remembering more because with time, I remember the love and joy, not the pain and grief.

Being a widow sucks however a little glimmer of good every now and then appears. Dave would have been 43 on Friday - his funeral collection is funding 43 kindness boxes for new chemo patients in his honour 💜

As a widow it’s not necessarily anniversaries I find difficult but new starts- the start of the new school year being one of them- the start of GCSE years for my twins that their dad will never see is difficult in a way most people don’t understand…….
