It is hard to believe how utterly naive this major Indian businessman is. Most of those who visit India are Indians living overseas. India is full of hassles and corruption, neither of which can be eradicated. He is on a fantasy trip.

Indians, including the educated ones, truly think money grows on trees. They see no connection of "stable" fuel price with fuels' disappearance, massive inflation elsewhere, rupees falling like a rock and the stock market crashing.

I never visit a famous Hindu temple. This indignity is indeed what you must suffer if you do. I also declined to go inside Ajmer Sharif (a Muslim place) for a similar reason. You face the same in Indian government run events and Museums.
