In the Third World, modernity is second-hand: satellites launched amid superstition, tech adopted without rational foundations. This leads to instability, corruption, and decay. counter-currents.com/2026/03/the-th…

@JayantBhandari5 Jayant that’s not completely true that only overseas Indians come to India but your larger point is correct. The low tourists is the result of our DNA 🧬- we don’t know “leave me alone”, no salad in food, only fried food, request for selfie - you get me drift

It is hard to believe how utterly naive this major Indian businessman is. Most of those who visit India are Indians living overseas. India is full of hassles and corruption, neither of which can be eradicated. He is on a fantasy trip.

India at #12 with just 9M tourists despite unmatched culture, history and diversity- this chart says it all. To unlock our true tourism potential: - Shift from “places” to immersive experiences - Simplify visas & boost air connectivity - Fix infrastructure & last-mile access - Market India like a global brand - Make our country clean

For the amoral, irrational society of India, money and power is the only yardstick for everything. No values, no discernment.

I never visit a famous Hindu temple. This indignity is indeed what you must suffer if you do. I also declined to go inside Ajmer Sharif (a Muslim place) for a similar reason. You face the same in Indian government run events and Museums.

Magic of Indian road construction technology. What should impress you no end is that the hand-pump works.

India, the world's most impotent nonentity of a country, and focused solely on bribes, cannot wipe its own ass, but the naive Finnish President thinks India can broker a deal between Iran and the USA. Of course, China is mediating between Afghanistan and Pakistan, not India.
Shashank Mattoo@MattooShashank

Breaking: Finland President calls for India to broker US-Iran ceasefire "We need a ceasefire. I'm wondering if India can actually get involved. We saw Foreign Minister Jaishankar call for a ceasefire to calm things down," says President Alexander Stubb

@JayantBhandari5 Same reason I find it funny that diplomats posted in India extol the virtues of being here ! If you live a posh area in Chanakyapuri, have a luxury sedan to travel around and enjoy privileges- Then India is good. Otherwise it’s a shithole

Indeed, India is the most beautiful country you will ever visit if you get driven around in a limousine, stay in five-star hotels, are always escorted, and never step onto the road yourself. She might as well have watched a fantasy documentary at home.

I had a magnificent day at the Taj Mahal. 🇮🇳 It is the most incredible monument I have ever seen in my life. A monument of love built with perfect symmetry and detail. India is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever had the pleasure of traveling to. Highly recommend!

My thoughts on why China and the US must collaborate to drive global prosperity and tackle challenges in energy, infrastructure, and beyond. As I told Mining Beacon: “Both will be prime movers of the world economy.” miningbeacon.com/industry/china…

[In HINDI] Here is a conversation with Sheeba Aslam Fehmi (@FehmiAslam), one of India's foremost thought-leaders, on why India is turning into a nobody in world politics. We discuss India's cultural and institutional decay. youtu.be/1Gaxv9PL4oA?si…
