Today was a great day for our Special Olympics athletes! Each one represented the Warriors with their best effort as they competed in today's games.

Our students love Deputy Bennett! This weekend is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. Thank you to Deputy Bennett for making our school a safe and supportive environment for our students and staff.

Steinbrenner’s Exceptional Warriors had their holiday party — an evening of fun activities that allowed some of our exceptional parents a kid-free evening for shopping and dining.  Everyone had a fun time!

Today Coach Scanio came in as a guest speaker and our residential baseball expert to kick off a research project in Mr Jaycox's class. Students in our access program look forward to learning more about George Steinbrenner and his impact on our community. #ProudWarriors

As part of our “Florida Animals” Scavenger Hunt, my ESY students prepared a mini-lesson on the Bald Eagle and Eastern Gray Squirrel. They knocked it out of the park!

@deesnider The last week of school in Mr. Jay’s class included learning activities on self-advocacy. We watched Twisted Sister videos and had a group discussion on “not taking it!” Thanks, Dee!

Seriously Julie, put a bounty on the bully's head. Ask her if she could have anything what would it be? Then promise to get it (if you can) the minute she stands up & fights back. Tell her you will pick her up from school and take her straight to the store. It worked for my kids!

Mr. Jay's class celebrating Earth Day by cleaning-up Walker's PTSA Park. These students did an amazing job!

Thanks Walker PTSA for the generous grant which allowed the ESE Department to purchase supplies, flowers, herbs, and vegetables. Our students with disabilities planted a beautiful garden!

Mr. Jay's Class is "Lighting It Up Blue" today for Autism Awareness! Acceptance (open-minded, reflective) and Understanding (knowledgeable, inquirer) are the IB way!!!
