My final day on my camp tour and what an amazing way to finish it off… talking #MentalHealth to the @rams. Sean McVay and I have talked mental health for yearssss, actually from the first days I opened up. In fact, there was a conversation he and I had when he wanted to learn more about our struggles that I used in my book Unbreakable to give it words so we can all start having a much more open conversation TOGETHER!!! The way I view it is all of us who are struggling need to be one big badass team together. Zero shame in it! I’m proud of my scars but those scars have made my bonds closer than I ever could have dreamed!!! Turned friends into brothers. So grateful for all the teams that brought me in during this #nfl preseason to help bring everyone together, for allowing me to be of service. That concept of Being Of Service and leaning into my teams is my way of fighting back. All I got is fight! Beautiful end to an amazing tour for the @NFLonFOX

Happy birthday to my house sitter when I’m on the road (make sure you water the flowers 4 days a week homie) and one of the best most loyal friends a man can ever have. Real talk.. having a friend like @jayhieron makes navigating the storms of life wayyyyy better. Love ya brother!
(Btw you may have seen Jay trying to kill Denzel in the backseat of a car in Equalizer 2… Id say he did a great acting job but he’s tried to kill me a couple times too when i drive too fast lololol).

As children we found ways to protect ourselves from vulnerability , from being hurt , diminished , and disappointed . We put on armor ; we used our thoughts , emotions , and behaviors as weapons ; and we learned how to make ourselves scarce , even disappear . Now as adults we realize to live with courage ,purpose ,and connection -to be the person whom we long to be - we must again find a way to be vulnerable . We must take off the armor , put down the weapons , show up , and let our selves be seen . This is something we have to embrace. It is tough to lay down those weapons and coping mechanisms and let ourselves be really seen. That vulnerability is something I love about wrestling and individual combative sports. Making that walk to the center of the mat or out that tunnel and up those 4 steps into the cage is Scary as hell but you will never feel more alive ! It was there in those moments , stripped to the core for all to see , I found myself, my true Self! It’s a continuing struggle to lay down the shield in every day existence.
