i’m sorry but this clarification is still weird as hell to me 😭 like you wrote THAT many paragraphs just to explain your intentions, defend why you liked the post, reassure people you “stand for what is right.” send support to the wife as your friend…but somehow barely any actual sympathy for the victim himself? and the thing that gets me is, you’re saying the wife was getting attacked unfairly, but people were criticizing her because she publicly chose to defend a man accused of incest and child sexual abuse against his own younger brother. obviously people are going to react strongly to that😭 also i genuinely don’t understand how someone who has worked so long in LGBTQ+ spaces, acted in queer series, built a fanbase full of vulnerable people, can still approach a situation like this with such a painfully detached response. like where is the empathy? where is the “i hope the victim heals”? where is the anger toward the alleged abuse itself? because the clarification lowkey reads more like “guys i don’t support violence BUT please understand why i supported my friend 🥺” instead of actually centering the person who spoke up about years of trauma. and i’m crying because out of ALL those paragraphs, the victim got the driest, most emotionless acknowledgment ever 😭 meanwhile the wife gets warm support and comfort. like oh okay… priorities noted i guess. shame on you honestly. this whole response feels so spineless and PR-trained that it almost sounds scared to directly acknowledge how horrifying the allegations actually are.
