UNC signee Kate Harpring wins the 2026 Naismith Girls' Player of the Year award 🏆 The Atlanta Tipoff Club announced that Kate Harpring of the Marist School in Atlanta has been honored as the recipient of the 2026 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Girls’ High School Player of the Year Trophy. The UNC signee scored 40 points in the state championship to break the Georgia girls high school scoring record with 3,435 career points. The daughter of former NBA and Georgia Tech player Matt Harpring, she led her team to a 29-2 record and a No. 1 ranking all season.
