I was making the ten Hag vs Slot comparisons back in April 2024 😄 Never bought into the appointment. Even after we won the league, I still believe someone like ten Hag would’ve done the same job for us in 24/25 — especially with Salah’s form and the drop-off from Arsenal and City. Now that everyone’s making the same comparison two years later, its vindicated what I said at the time😂

In 18/19, Martin Atkinson waved away a blatant penalty on Naby Keita against Leicester at Anfield. Liverpool drew and lost the title by one point. In 21/22, Paul Tierney ignored Rodri’s obvious handball in Man City’s 1-0 win over Everton, and Liverpool again finished one point short. No one knows what it’s like to be robbed by officials more than Liverpool fans so City fans we feel your pain 👍

Blame for this season: - Slot (40%): Tactically out of his depth and has clearly lost the dressing room. - Hughes/Edwards (40%): Last summer’s transfer window was a shambles on both ins and outs. They’re also the main reason Slot is still here. - FSG/Billy Hogan (10%): Barely spent the year before last Summer, so shouldn't have to balance the books by off loading players. The result is no squad depth, and the ticket price rises alienated the fans. - Players (10%): Too many have stopped playing for the manager and are just strolling. They should be playing for the shirt. The season can’t be pinned on Slot alone. 👍

I'm going to say something controversial (not like me😄) If we kept Diaz & Nunez instead of signing Ekitike and Isak we'd be in a far stronger position now. They sacrificed themselves to bring the best out of Salah — he’d have had a far better season with them here.

A Man Utd fan just texted me saying he was delighted they didn’t hammer Liverpool yesterday — because he wants Slot to stay next season. He reckons Slot’s football is identical to Ten Hag’s. Yet some Liverpool fans still back him, and not a single pundit or journalist is calling for him to be sacked. How much evidence do they need to see he is out of his depth??? Utter madness.

If you cost £100m or above, there HAS to be a phase/element your game which you completely dominate to all your peers in you position globally that can decide matches consistently. Most ideally in possession, maybe out of possession. How does this apply to Florian Wirtz exactly?

My thoughts on match:😡 -Embarrassing first half, much better second half, but overall not good enough. -Slot has no clue how to set the team up defensively — the manager is the clear issue. -We have the players (second half proved it), the manager is the problem. -Whoever pushed the Frimpong signing needs sacking. -Big MacAllister fan, but that was unacceptable — he had a hand in both United goals. -Szoboszlai was excellent, Gerrard-like, and didn’t deserve to lose. -Criminal how underused Rio Ngumoha is. -Kerkez was much better than Robertson and should have started. -Gravenberch cannot play as the 6 next season — won almost no tackles. -Wirtz needs to offer far more. I forgot he was on the pitch in the second half. -Van Dijk was well below his best. -Jones continues to look very impressive at right-back. -Could have been a lot worse after that worst half.

Honestly wirtz is not a winger…why aren’t we playing Rio…this fucking manager is absolutely clueless can’t fucking stand him!!
