If you were a mid level web developer who had an interview in 5 days for a very competitive role, what would be your crash course study curriculum? I’ve definitely been doing my own thing but I’m curious about what you all have to say.

@allysedotdev @livelaughcode @genericmikechen @shashiwhocodes @DThompsonDev Key question for me is: what stage are you getting rejected at? Getting hired is a sales funnel (and a numbers game!). You need to identify where the biggest leaks are focus on those. Eg are you getting to/past recruiter/HM screening calls? Are you making it to onsites?

@frontendeval The super fast feedback loop. Being able to think of an idea and bring it to life. No longer having to support Internet Explorer.

It's no wonder why people struggle with learning. It's simple: The system works AGAINST you. You need to fight. I'm learning how to code: it's painful, but it's easy if you plan ahead. Here are 9 secrets on how to learn anything👇

Every time my learning starts to plateau or I'm not sure where to go next, I take the same strategy: learn something deeply, or learn something different.

@axlhmo I should have said console.log doesn't *explicitly* return anything. Like any function in JS that doesn't return anything, it implicitly returns undefined.

@JayrobinDev Why would the console.log return undefined?

If you ever need to console.log in a one-line JavaScript function and, like me, are too lazy to add curly braces...

What many sw engineers don't realize: The majority of jobs do not hire you to write the highest quality code or produce the cleanest architecture. They hire you to solve their business problems very efficiently. Sometimes this means high-quality code. Sometimes not at all.
