I remember thinking Abraham Toro was the next great Canadian position player during the 2021 season. 🇨🇦 July 25 - Sep 8: 41 G 176 PA 49 H 16 BB 16 XBH .316/.392/.497 (.889 OPS)

Yariel Rodriguez was the Blue Jays best reliever for half of last season. Not sure why people are shocked when he pitches well. He should be given a legitimate shot to start the season with the big club. May 3 - July 29: 34 G 40.1 IP 1.12 ERA 0.67 WHIP .131 BAA 3.9 K/BB

Okamoto looks like a solid defender at 3B. If he can be a .750 OPS guy in year one, I think you’re happy.

If Varsho wants to start consistently hitting with power to all fields in his walk year - that’d be just fine.

The move was always to sign Bassitt and trade for a bat. Who’s the bat? I have no idea.

All this Eugenio Suarez talk got me thinking about another Cincinnati Reds slugger… Adam Dunn Avg Season 2004-2010: 158 G 94 R 30 2B 40 HR 101 RBI 107 BB .253/.381/.533 .914 OPS/136 OPS+ Finished with 462 HR in 14 years. One of the most underrated hitters in recent memory.

I have such a hard time picturing Bo Bichette in another uniform. We get so wrapped up in analytics and advanced metrics that we forget about the human being and relationships that exist when a player spends his entire career with one organization.

I can’t remember ever looking at the Jays roster at the beginning of January and seeing such a complete team. If they somehow manage to add one of Bo, Tucker, Bregman, or Bellinger - it puts them over the top. Already in great shape. Shoutout Mark, Ross, and Rogers.
