@CinemaTweets1 I love Fassbender and I like the idea of watching something that strips the Kennedy family lore right back. I am really excited for this.
Trying so hard to get Sonny a home.
Unfortunately he cannot travel as he hates small spaces like a crate. So unless someone has a private jet internationally he needs a good home in Thailand.
A total gentleman of a dog. We'll keep trying everything
@CinemaTweets1 Penn’s performance in OBAA quickly became one of my all-time favourites. I remember actually laughing at his sheer brilliance in the movie theatre. I’m hoping he will win his third Oscar.
Sean Penn’s chances of winning a third #Oscar took a significant jump after he won the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor yesterday. That’s at least if you ask traders at Kalshi. I really want Penn to win this award. We would all be witnesses to Hollywood history in real time.
Did you ever question everything? I do.
I was sitting in the beach just after sunrise this morning with my 2 dogs and I came across a man taking his buffalo swimming and bathing him. He loved that animal and the 2 of them had a deep bond as they spent 30 minutes in the water. He has the same bond I had with Hank and Chance beside me.
It’s my favorite time of the week. Most people are hungover in bed. The tourists aren’t up yet. After working all week I give myself 30 minutes to think before the dog madness continues.
Lately I’ve been feeling a bit down looking at the world. Everything seems to be about money. Every human is trying to amass power, wealth or fame at the expense of everything else. People don’t even look at each other any more instead preferring their phones. Image and status is everything. The world seems driven by anger, consumption and a total disregard for others. We’ve crossed the rubicon in many worrying areas globally as a society.
I think I’m just at the sharp end of it in Samui as the island gets taken over by tourists and people building villas. I see everything tossed out from rubbish and local customs to the dogs I try to help. Humans care so little for the world we live in and it’s really starting to show.
My mission is to help the world’s street dogs and I’ll need to use the technology, capital and systems of the modern world to do that but it pains me to live in that world. I’ll only do it for the sake of the street dogs. AI is 100% taking most of the jobs no matter what anybody says, the wealth divide is growing and the unfortunate creatures like the dogs will continue to suffer most.
As I sat watching the man washing his buffalo and the sun rising I just longed for a simpler life. A life where humans and animals lived together peacefully and respected the land rather than chasing meaningless paper wealth and fake status.
All I can try and do is build a small corner of kindness and compassion with wonderful people to help as many dogs as possible. No matter how helpless some of us feel in life the street dogs really have no voice and very few humans on their side.
Be kind to each other ❤️
‘NHS urges nine million people to get therapy’ where & who’s paying for this therapy? Much cheaper & accessible… get outside, get exercising, get socialising, get working. Maybe organise group ‘health’ workshops? More affordable too. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/02/1…
An actress friend told me today that my review of the film for @MovieMarker had ignited a discussion about Wuthering Heights amongst her family:

I love that.
And also that the film has got people reading the book and discovering Kate Bush
@NiallHarbison Overjoyed at Apollo’s amazing progress and that he will not go back on the streets. My heart goes out for him - his plight has really touched me. Thank you, Niall.
Unbelievably good news to share on Apollo the dog from the dramatic rescue from last week.
I sit with him to tell him and also introduce some new patients at Tina's hospital.
A longer watch but it gives you an insight to what goes on behind the scenes and lots of good news!
My MAD MEN rewatch continues. I just wept through the S5 episode where Joan makes partner (IYKYK how), and Peggy resigns to Don.
This level of intricate, exceptional, layered writing…this is really what I want from storytelling. My god.
⏰ It’s been 72 hours since he came in and the comeback is already staggering…
🛻 It took about 12-15 people to catch, treat, operate on and care for this beautiful boy. I’ve never seen team work quite like it.
🎯 We had bee trying for a full week to catch him. Many many failed attempts as he was so scared. His feeder was beside herself with worry.
🐛 The maggots were eating his face and nose as well as TVT cancer and flies. He was in complete agony. He didn’t have long left.
🏥 The vet and medical team are very optimistic of how much we can save. It’s already improving and he is getting lots of special care. There was even talk of special surgeries if needed.
🥘 I didn’t expect to get close to him at all for a long time but I said I would chance it last night and today. He warmed up to me very fast. This is a very friendly boy. He was just terrified. He is also a quite young.
❤️ I called him Apollo as In Greek mythology, Apollo is celebrated as the most handsome, ideal male deity, embodying youthful beauty, strength, and perfection. That’s what I told him today he will be like one day soon when we were chatting.
It would have been very easy to give up on this boy but the entire team never once did. 🥰
@NiallHarbison any news on the poor dog with the eaten nose who was a difficult rescue, Niall? I realise it is unpalatable for some people to see, but I would love to know he is at least out of danger. Thanks so much.
@itsalawyerslife Yes, he does. I’m a bit on the fence with Mescal; he is absolutely brilliant at playing a certain sort of character, but I’m not sure I’ve seen much convincing deviation from that type. Mendes’ film will be interesting.
Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney in the 4 films being made by Sam Mendes about each of the Beatles.
Wow! He certainly looks the part.
Can’t wait to see this ambitious project on the screen.
Harris Dickinson as Lennon
Barry Keoghan as Ringo
Joseph Quinn as George
Introducing the cast of KENNEDY — a new drama series exploring the lives, loves, rivalries and tragedies that shaped the most iconic dynasty in modern history.
Michael Fassbender stars as Joe Kennedy Sr., Laura Donnelly as Rose Kennedy, Nick Robinson as Joe Kennedy Jr., and introducing Joshuah Melnick as Jack Kennedy.
Sean Penn’s spent a lifetime making great films. It’s why he owns two Oscars for Best Actor- something one of his acting idols & my favorite actor Jack Nicholson can also claim. Penn’s performance in Mystic River is a piece of acting history by now. He deserves a third for OBAA.
Rolling Stone's Senior Film Critic @davidlfear names @blackbagfilm as the #3 movie of 2025.

"You get this old-school, movie-star glamour), and you get this deconstruction of a genre"
The Best Movies of 2025: "Black Bag"
Steven Soderbergh serves up a sleek, clever thriller about a married pair of British spies trying to outsmart each other, with Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett sparring the whole way through. It’s fun, twisty and effortlessly stylish, his most irresistible movie of the year.
