It’s been all Irish in the first half. The closest it’s been is 7-5, before St. V went on a 10-2 run in the first. Whorton gave the team a spark with 10 points in the seconds. He leads with 14 points, three rebounds and two blocks. Walker dished out six assists in the second. Irish lead Tigers 48-28 at the half.

St.Vincent-St.Mary moves on the District Finals after defeating Massillon 87-52. Sophomore Rayshawn Hamilton led the way with 17 pts, 4 rebs, and 6 Ast. Whorton finished with 16 pts and 5 rebs. Walker finished with 9 pts and 8 Ast. Chris Knight & Jadyce Thigpen led the Tigers with 11 each. The stage is set for Saturday. #3 Garfield Heights Bulldogs vs #30 St. VM Fighting Irish for the district title. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
