Lol firing Yann, hiring Wang, and setting a couple billion dollars on fire poaching talent seems to have actually worked for building a decent model

American sandwiches are the best in the world. Nobody else comes close. As an American on vacation, there is no point ordering sandwiches anywhere, you will just find that they are worse than the American version

My problems with ChatGPT for any PMs looking what to do during the 'code red' situation (long list just features, not models, android user, pro subscriber): Android app has really deteriorated: - Android app takes several seconds to remember what model I used before, so I end up sending simple queries to Pro or hard queries to Auto all the time - When sharing the image to the android app it doesn't attach in a way that uses vision, but instead it does OCR with python. I need to attach image from the chat for it to work - Thinking doesn't work in the background like pro, why do I need to keep my chat active for minutes at a time? - Pro doesn't send notifications half the time when it's done - I've got so many dead queries that I sent and forgot I did - Constant weirdness with connection - I never know if things are done or not, sometimes things break and no response given - is the response done? To check I need to refresh, but to refresh I need to go to all charts and drag it from there rather than in the chat - I still can't manage tasks from the app, I have some going back a year that I forget to switch off Web app & other: - what happened to canvas? It was a nice feature no preview button stopped working and it is a buggy mess - Custom GPTs is a nice feature for business but it has no love for the last 2 years and that whole line has died out - non technical users are not vibe coding, they have nothing else 2 years on. Agent builder is not in chatgpt and is hard to use for non technical people - voice is transcription is not reliable apart from short recordings, probably the connection issue again, I'm too afraid to use it after losing several minutes of voice notes - the whole connection issue and thinking not giving outputs is just abysmal, it has to get better - data analyst is still very janky - you can upload only limited files, it breaks half the time, it is a huge use case for business but non-Codex users are stuck in 2023. I'm basically recommending people don't use chatgpt for data analysis anymore - we are still stuck with different experiences depending on what file you upload how, you need to be an expert in knowing how chatgpt treats different files to use it properly - I don't use the mac app that much but understand it is behind on many features now (eg group chats) That's everything I could think of now. I know AI is fast moving and it is hard to keep everything going. And maybe I'm a dumb android user and things are better on the other side, but I hope the 'code red' won't be just get another model iteration out but actually go back to caring about the core ChatGPT experience

I did not expect that the PowerPoint killer would be something called Nano Banana Pro, but that is where its heading It makes the major efforts by all the other AI companies, including Microsoft, to crack PowerPoint by using python seem like a dead end ImageGen is all you need?

There has been a lot of press claiming @SpaceX is raising money at $800B, which is not accurate. SpaceX has been cash flow positive for many years and does periodic stock buybacks twice a year to provide liquidity for employees and investors. Valuation increments are a function of progress with Starship and Starlink and securing global direct-to-cell spectrum that greatly increases our addressable market. And one other thing that is arguably most significant by far.

Most AI startups will go bankrupt within 18-24 months. After reviewing hundreds of AI startups' financials at Hustle Fund, I'm seeing a sustainability crisis that nobody's talking about. The numbers are brutal. 🧵
