When you check out books at my local library (pictured here) they indicate how much money you saved. I've saved almost $14,000 since their new computer system. (About 15 years?) Now I have extra money to spend at my local indie bookstore, right?

Happy World Read Aloud Day! I'm ready with my "show and tell" items: Park ranger hat, truck dress, NBA poster with How to Babysit a Grandpa, and the book I'll read, TURBO'S SPECIAL DELIVERY.

Yesterday my position as Senior Editor at Harper was eliminated. I’m heartbroken and unsure what’s next. But I’m fiercely proud of the work I was able to do, and am inspired by my colleagues, authors & illustrators who see magic in our world and work tirelessly to make it real.📚
