Wrapped up our lessons on UV radiation and ozone depletion with a hands-on lab using UV color-changing beads! We explored 3 variables alongside the control: SPF 100 & SPF 60 sunscreen, & shade. Insightful discoveries made! #WEareSparta @Mrs_Flores_VVEC @RubyLucero23 #ScienceEd

What better way to close out our invasive species lessons than to create public service flyers! Students chose a state then selected an invasive species to research. Tuesday classes presented in small groups. Can't wait to see the Thursday classes. #WEareSparta @Mrs_Flores_VVEC

My mom noticed this at 8:15AM when she saw her backyard flooding. Worker spray paintef SPEP & an arrow pointing to it. Said it would be 1-2 hours for them to get out here to dig and turn off the water, then another 2-3 hours to get it fixed. What happened to conserving water???

Awesome #FirstDayHike @HuecoTanksSP with @ElGuapoGPadilla this morning. Our group didn't let the cold, wind & rain stop them from having fun. We went 2 miles in 3 hrs while scrambling & learning about the history, flora, fauna & geology of this Oasis in the Desert. @TPWDparks
