I was fully behind Erik ten Hag before United signed him. I wanted him at all cost because of the football he played with Ajax. With Ruben Amorim, it was different. I wasn’t excited when we were linked with him. I just hoped it would work. But when he came in, he did something I will never forget. He did what many were afraid to do. He made big, ruthless decisions - no matter the name. That was the moment I knew we finally had a proper manager. One who doesn’t compromise standards. Last season, even when results were bad, I wasn’t focused on results. I cared about the rebuild. Clearing out players who weren’t good enough. Raising standards. Changing the culture. And he did exactly that. He cleaned up the dressing room and built a sense of unity. This season, the results weren’t always consistent… But there was progress. You could see it. I could see it. But he was sacked before the job was finished. Sacked after asking for more to complete the rebuild. Now the only question is… Will the next manager build on that foundation - or destroy it?
