Every designer has that one software that feels like home. 😂 Mine is CorelDRAW. 👇 What's yours?

I was asked to redesign a school graduation banner template. She had paid someone to design it but when she saw the final version, she said: "It doesn't represent my school well." I redesigned it and she loved it. (Review below.) Before vs After and Review.

Someone used Ai to design a flyer and it happened to be that the Logo of the organization was upside down. He reached out to me to help correct it. I charged a minimum of 7k to correct. He said ' just correct the Logo?" He angrily left me DM. No matter the hardship maintain your levels.

DESIGNERS! you don't need to post on every platform. Pick two, stay consistent, build your audience and brand, then expand. Better to be consistent on two than inconsistent on ten. Happy weekend 🙌🏾

When I wanted to launch my Photoshop and CorelDRAW course, I got a lot of messages in my inbox. Two of them really stood out. One person wanted me to sell the course for ₦3,000, even though it was priced at ₦20,000 as of then . Another person wanted it for ₦1,500. Their reason? They said they had paid for different courses before and got little or no value in return. They didn't want to risk paying that kind of money again until they were sure they would actually learn something. At the time, I thought it was strange. But looking at some of the things I see online today, I understand why people think that way. Yesterday, I came across a flyer advertising a complete graphic design course covering Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other design software just for 3k. The first thing that came to my mind was that the flyer looked AI-generated. Whether it was or not isn't even the point. The fact that it gives that impression is something worth thinking about. If you're teaching graphic design, your own designs should be one of your biggest selling points. Your flyer is part of your portfolio. It should reflect the level of creativity and skill students can expect from you. This is one of the reasons many people have lost trust in online courses. They've paid for promises before and ended up disappointed. I'm not saying the person isn't skilled, and I'm definitely not saying using AI is wrong. AI is a useful tool. My point is that if you're going to teach people professionally, keep learning, keep improving, and make sure your work inspires confidence. Your marketing should reinforce the value you're promising to deliver.

Finally finished putting this together. 🧡 I compiled all the YouTube channels that helped me grow as a motion designer into one resource. Before I post it… Is there any motion design creator or YouTube channel you think deserves to be on the list? Drop your suggestions below 👇 Also, when should I drop the thread? This weekend or next week? 👀

Good morning to everyone building something from scratch. May today bring new ideas, new opportunities, and at least one message that says, "I'd like to work with you." Let's create, learn, and keep showing up. ☀️

Typography matters. Typography isn't just choosing a nice font. It's about making your message clear, readable, and visually engaging. Great typography makes great design.

Master the fundamentals first. Before chasing trends or learning every tool, master the fundamentals: typography, color, layout, hierarchy, contrast, alignment, spacing, and balance. Strong basics build great designers

Every great designer was once a beginner. When I started designing, I made a lot of mistakes because I focused on the wrong things. This series covers the lessons that would have saved me time and helped me improve faster. If you're a beginner, you're in the right place.
