Really cool moment tonight postgame after VCU upset UNC. VCU head coach Phil Martelli Jr. made a point to shoutout the student reporters that made the trip. Lots of great stuff this time of year, but this was a really awesome, genuine exchange.

I'm seeing a lot of "FANS" eating crow...regardless of the final score, Gerry had the biggest lead of any 16 vs 1 at halftime in NCAA history and despite the need to, he's proven the @Cuse_MBB should be his, IF of course he wants it! Especially, after all the HATE over the last couple months.

Ok this fan base may really have problems I have made it clear my preference is to go outside the family. But I've also tried to be diplomatic and see both sides & accept that I am open to giving GMac a chance if we go that route IF he gets a ton of resources And I get this

My feelings about GMac coaching at Syracuse are largely unchanged based on today. I am open to seeing him as our coach as long as he is provided a massive amount of resources. Resources that can turn our long track record of losses to Duke, some very close, into wins.

At this point I am warming to GMac as coach. Not my top choice at this point, but IF the University gives him a BIG assistant coaching budget, to bring in high level assistants and MORE of them, some with A+ recruiting chops, I can live with it.
