At a party, a couple started arguing after a few drinks. Voices got louder, tempers flared, and suddenly, the woman, clearly intoxicated, slapped her boyfriend in front of everyone. The room went silent. Some people awkwardly laughed it off. Others looked uncomfortable, but he just stood there stunned. Abuse is abuse no matter who does it. Being drunk isn’t an excuse to cross that line, and no one deserves to be hit in a relationship. If someone shows you they can become physically aggressive, that’s not something to brush aside. Respect and safety should never be negotiable. Why do some people minimize physical abuse when the aggressor is a woman or when alcohol is involved?
