We're getting closer...dump the bottom 3 to picks 12-14 and there will be an almighty race to stay out of the bottom a la soccer. Would love to see 8-35 teams making trades to improve midseason to stay out of drafts picks 12-14.

Inside the NBA’s GM meeting this week: How concept #1 could be reshaped, why 22 teams vs. 18 is a debate, and the one idea that got Adam Silver’s attention. New column on @YahooSports on what lottery reform could actually look like: sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/nb…

None of these will do much. Teams are spending months losing games on purpose just to try to get from a 7.5% chance to a 9.0% chance at the top pick, basically statistically insignificant, and this doesn't do anything to dissuade teams going through long, multi-year tanks.

I can't count, apparently...the Bulls actually have ELEVEN lottery picks on the roster: Buzelis (11) Collins (10) Dieng (11) Dillingham (8) Essengue (12) Giddey (6) Ivey (5) Okoro (5) Sexton (8) Smith (10) Williams (4)

Here's my elevator pitch: Team that finishes last picks 7th Team that finishes last in other conf picks 6th Lottery for top 5 Keeps teams chasing up to avoid being last, would make for fun last week/day of season, GMs might even try to improve at deadline to avoid 7th pick lock

The NBA and its stakeholders have started talks on finding new solutions to prevent tanking -- and the league proposed multiple ideas to the Board of Governors as the sides brainstorm cures. ESPN story: espn.com/nba/story/_/id…

Bears-Packers on a Saturday for the 2nd time. Only previous was in 1964, penultimate game of season between 61 & 62 champs GB and 63 champ Bears in a rare national TV game. Colts had long since clinched the West so the game was nearly meaningless. 61 years on, not this time.

Some of the games this year are reminiscent of 2001, including this one...Automatica with a doink to tie the game (after an awful McQuarters penalty) and Caleb Williams is born... youtu.be/x4odqXFtvMk?t=…

Wishing Caleb Williams a very happy 24th birthday! Fun fact: Williams is only player on Bears' 53-man roster who was born on same day Bears played a game. On Nov. 18, 2001, they defeated Buccaneers 27-24 in Tampa behind Jim Miller's 3 TD passes to Marty Booker.
