Whirlpool’s laying off nearly 400 union workers in Amana — after cutting 250 last year — while expanding production in Mexico. That’s not “restructuring.” It’s corporate greed, and Iowa families are paying the price. Whirlpool should stop these layoffs and keep these jobs in Iowa.

Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Reading some of the posts about the Aqueduct cancelation yesterday, and my mind is fried. If you isolate yesterday, the only people to blame, whether it is right or wrong, are the jockeys. If they had issue with NYRA, it should have happened after the card, not during. 1/3
