The rather splendid 1st-winter Bonaparte's Gull at Ogmore Estuary, well found by @tom_wright16 This is the third of this species I've seen at the site, albeit the first non-adult.

@CactusFrankS Remember visiting Ham Wall in the late ‘90s when there were an estimated 3.5 million Starlings going to roost, the noise that they made passing over was as loud as a helicopter passing. Never experienced anything like it since😊

Three gorgeous Bar-tailed Godwits were at Ogmore Estuary over the high tide this evening, feeding on earthworms. Love seeing these coming through in the spring.

@welshbirders When I was there on last Thursday and had some great photos they were very confiding and approachable to 15-18’ !! Just time for them to move on I guess as there were still loads of rose hips left.
