people being like “stop using baby pictures of Celeste” is so messed up because he started grooming her at 11 THAT WE KNOW OF. That literally robs you of your childhood. It’s appropriate to use pictures of her at 10/11. & even STILL in recent pics of her…that is clearly a child

These conditions have resulted in over 70,000 recorded cases of rodent or parasite-related infestations in 2026, including rampant scabies, lice, and skin infections. This is a biological warfare against Palestinians who also live in makeshift tents with little medical supplies.

Approximately 97% of the water in Gaza is considered unsafe for human consumption or drinking, and many rely on limited trucked water. Over 80% of displacement sites are experiencing plagues of rodents, rats, and insects, which are biting children and contaminating food supplies.

People don’t understand the health crisis conditions that many Palestinians in Gaza are going through. The sheer reality of no clean water, waste disposal, and bug and rodent infestation: roughly 85% of families live near open sewage. Displaced Palestinians suffer this every day.

america has and has always had issues with black women being mistreated during pregnancy and during childbirth by hospitals and "caregivers," but having all of this information come out now so readily just to have rfk jr say "we're meeting the safety standard." is just so... 🥴
Blackish Press@blackishpress

Tatyana Ali (Ashley from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) spoke about the difficult pregnancy she had with her first child and the discrimination that Black women face during pregnancy “I had a really healthy pregnancy… and all of that changed once we got into the hospital. Our birth plan wasn't followed... I was also held down, my arms and legs," she continued, using the term “obstetric violence” to describe the experience she went through “I mean, I'll be real with you, they pushed him back inside me… that's what happened, my baby was all the way crowned, that’s not a real procedure.” “In my records, it shows that he goes from the lowest station, I saw his hair, I touched his hair, to the highest station and it doesn't say how that happened. It's an incredibly dangerous thing that they did; they could have snapped his neck, but this is after hours of them holding me down.” She added that her baby "couldn't pee on his own for a long time, about five or six days." “Actually, it was a pediatric urologist who was the only one who came to my side and said, ‘I saw what happened during your birth, the things that resulted in this emergency C-section.’ She said, ‘I think the traumatic nature of his birth is what is causing this,’ ” Ali recalled, revealing, “We [then] left [the hospital] in the middle of the night … we ran away." Black women suffer discrimination during pregnancy, and Ali made a point of emphasizing that “It's been happening for a very long time … black women are three to four times more likely to die in childbirth, and I think a lot of times people go, ‘Oh well, those are other health risks.’ Yes, that's in the mix of things, but there are incredible traumas that are also being experienced in the hospital when you're a black woman, an indigenous person, giving birth. The treatment is just totally different…” 🔗podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/tat…

male characters can be horribly written & yet ppl will praise them like they’re a god & yet woman characters can be insanely well written & still get no recognition & that’s not even the worst of it. that’s only on a good day, if they’re not being ignored they’re being hated on

claudia’s defiance towards lestat and resistance against his antiblack abuse being reduced to “she likes ragebaiting him” as if she didn’t experience / witness harrowing abuse towards louis and herself. she uses analogy to point out his antiblackness to his face.
Vara@house_stormborn

You guys do know that interview with the vampire is not the story of two black vampires killing their slave master, right? you do know that Claudia called Lestat “Massa” not bc he was, but because she’s a professional ragebaiter & she wanted to hurt him, right?
