NATO’s Article 5 -asking all to defend a member state - has only been triggered once FOR THE USA. Allies deployed 20 years from 9/11. Now Trump tells the 451 Brits killed supporting US that “we never needed them…they stayed off the front-lines”. Why are we still appeasing him?

“We’ve never needed them. We have never really asked anything of them. You know, they’ll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan, or this and that. And they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the front lines” I served in Afghanistan. I saw first hand the sacrifices made by British soldiers I served alongside in Sangin where we suffered horrific casualties, as did the US Marines the following year. I don’t believe US military personnel share the view of President Trump; his words do them a disservice as our closest military allies. It’s sad to see our nation’s sacrifice, and that of our NATO partners, held so cheaply by the President of the United States.

@JemimaHarrison I don't understand the market dogs like this appeal to. In a world wanting (unfortunately) smaller, more docile, more sanitized dogs that are basically living plush, who is buying these huge, smelly, drooling creatures who can't do a job? Just show people?

Anything factually accurate is the right narrative for me. Delayed commenting as wanted to do more research. So, only 15% stranger rapes (and only a small % of those will be visitors ergo the relative risk is v low) but equally lots of rapes go unreported. Am truly shocked. Absolutely unacceptable.
