I can think of so many times where my students could explain concepts to their peers better than I could. What benefits have you experienced with global learning in your classroom?
@CSCorganization@EDweek Increasing student's acceptance and understanding of diversity is huge. Let's think about how we can also foster a global minded education in non immersion schools.
@CSCorganization@edutopia This is a fun idea for helping learners connect concepts learned in school to the real world and beyond the walls of the school. It also lends itself to fostering student voice and choice in their learning.
We construct elaborate environments for play, insist on adult schedules, and intervene when things look unproductive. But the research says that leaving kids alone with mud and sticks is more than enough. A recent piece I did for @edutopia. edut.to/398yMma
@smerrill777@edutopia I really enjoyed this piece. It is a reminder of the need to step back and let children's imagination lead their play and exploration.
