11:00a: At my desk👩🏾‍💻 working to understand the four areas of culturally responsive teaching. Being aware of my own cultural lens & implicit biases is important so they don’t negatively impact how I relate to students/parents. Taking Harvard’s Project Implicit online exam.

12:00p: Having 🥗 & finished 📖 Zaretta Hammond’s Culturally Responsive Teaching & THE Brain. Kept thinking about a past student & what I could've done better to support him. Reflecting on my practice & how to make my class a Culturally Responsive Learning Environment for ALL.

10:00a: Classroom audit to make sure resources are diverse like my students. I want students to see themselves in the curriculum, lessons & books 📚(mirrors🪞, windows🪟, & sliding doors). Checking whose voices 🔊 included, whose voices left out 🔇, who holds power & who doesn’t.
