I’m reading the comments and realizing people don’t know this is the traditional way of doing it. Not saying it’s correct, but it happens constantly because it’s traditional. I was taught to address letters this way many times, both in school and at an etiquette school

i know it’s not an actual big deal but i didn’t change my name when i got married and i really can’t stand getting mail addressed to me with my husband’s name!!! that’s not my name!!!!

@LizWolfeReason @kashworthdesign we had many children at our wedding, the youngest 5 weeks. when we sent invites to people whose babies hadn't been born yet we included '& Baby' among the addressees to make it clear. if it is child-free and he isn't listed, he isn't invited.

Not to start A Discourse but I was invited to a child-free wedding on the West Coast in January. It will be 3 wks after I have my baby. Does "child-free wedding" also include very young newborns? Curious about thoughts. Newborns (to my mind) are basically nonexistent.
