I’m wrapping up my first semester in doctoral studies, and I won’t lie. I nearly dropped out in the first few weeks. I’ve doubted myself more times than I can count. And I’ve looked around at my colleagues and thought, “I don’t belong here.” Yet I have persevered, and I’m stronger than I was when I began. I’m more confident, and I’m proud of myself. I can do this. I do belong. 🙌🏽 Never underestimate yourself.

@LauraRbnsn Yep. I have friends who are posting about the film all over & also warnings of people ‘who don’t speak English well’ hanging around the area with a warning to stay away from them as they may be traffickers. My suggestion was, how about befriend them and make sure they are safe.

@erichoke We tried a new church yesterday. Lovely service and people very friendly. However if it hadn’t been for my teenage children I would have been the youngest there. They invited us back. This visiting new places is hard.

Family of 5 tries new church. We were on time. Everyone was in a good mood. Baby slept in her carriage next to us during worship. 30 minutes later. Older kids refused to go to kids ministry. Baby woke up and got fussy. We decided to leave early to limit being a distraction.

Just stopped at the library and could hardly find a parking spot. Came out with a stack of books. Both make me extremely happy. This I love about summertime in the US.

26,373 steps at Petra yesterday. Worth it, but my legs are so sore today!

There are no words to express how it feels to share a coffee with a true friend you’ve had for 26 years. We may live on different continents now, but today we jumped right in as though time didn’t exist. So so good.
