@WVGurl78@davidcarr_photo This is the advice I’ve been able to put to the best use. And just to say, I don’t know what to say but I’m sorry and I’m here.
@davidcarr_photo After losing 5 people within 13 months, I have to say this is sound advice. Just saying “I’m sorry” and “I love you” are the best. Don’t ask if they need something. A grieving person might not know what they need. Instead try “I’d like to bring you a meal. Will Thursday work?”
When someone passes away, I think it’s good to refrain from saying, “they’re in a better place”, “they’re fully healed now” or any other platitudes. We just don’t know what the other side really looks like, do we? Perhaps “I’m so sorry” and “I love you” are best.
My daughter took her own life on Friday. This was her final blog post she wrote a few months ago. Please take a moment and read the Gospel of @Mackenzie_07. “So as believers, I challenge us to stick up for love.” mackenzieanderson.wixsite.com/mysite/blog/it…
It makes no sense to seek your God-given strength until you trust in his. “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for” (Ephesians 1:11). maxlucado.com/listen/religio…
