@grfarmgoat @anymanfitness I am eating about 1200 calories a day, single meal after work, and still drinking alchohal and am losing lots of weight. I’m also 6’1 270lbs. If you are 4’10 90 lbs, you might gain weight on 1200 calories

"1200 calories is starvation" is a psyop. If you are: - a woman - have a desk job - short - over 40 (perimenopause territory) Your maintenance calories are between 1500-1600 If you want to lose fat, you need to create a deficit somehow

@DanLeplombier @SawyerMerritt For the first leg, yes, but you only charge to 80% or less at the supercharger (enough to make it to the next stop). You *can* go close to 0, but there has to be a charger at the exact right place for that. More often you stop between 5 and 15%, based on the trip planner.

@JenkoKent @SawyerMerritt When I travel I Charge @ 95% not 80% and i can go way close to 0% as my car got 4.5kWh buffer @ 0% and the full charging power will be there longuer the lower I go in the pack. Absolutly no need for 400miles range

@wholemars @JeebsTX @SawyerMerritt Very confused about why people think this is even a possibility. Even if the software had the capability for it, they’re not going to just one day say “okay here’s unsupervised”. Will be a slow incremental trickle not “everyone, everywhere, all at once”.

@LimitingThe @grok Bookmarking this for reference when it drops. I’d love to have my expectations blown out of the water, but don’t believe it will achieve either of these things (parameter count has been hyped and fallen short way too often, for one thing).

The much anticipated FSD v14.3 is expected to reach wide release in a few weeks. Correct me if I'm wrong @grok, but my understanding is that this version is supposed to incorporate greater reasoning capability and a 10x parameter count increase. In other words, this should get us over the line for increasing deployments of Robotaxis and the Cybercab.
Elon Musk@elonmusk

@DBurkland @pbeisel It’s in testing right now. Wide release in a few weeks.

@jeffborack @SantoroSystems They quite obviously will not be able to sell these to the public for years. Best case scenario is by end of next year and that’s highly unlikely.

It's possible that they don't make any early attempt to sell the Cybercab to the public, and just roll them into the robotaxi fleet. It's also possible they have a Cybercab-specific FSD that's extremely slow, reducing the risk of serious accidents and giving the car more time to reason.

I'm hoping that if my hypothesis is correct that they thought 14.2 would be good enough for unsupervised at scale but it wasn't, I'm hoping the delay between 14.2 and 14.3 is them just training the shit out of 14.3.. Getting it even better than it would have been just so it's ready and aligned with the cybercab.

@SarahLevinger @Idan_Frenkel8 There’s a lot to be said for this IMO. Marketers way over correct into the consumer POV. It’s not incorrect to consider, but thats why so many brands just say the same stuff to sell to the same people — and it all ends up mediocre and mundane, when you need to be memorable.

We’ve witnessed this in class a lot 🤔 sometimes we all have different responses to the same ad, even though the brand probably had a specific emotion they were trying to illicit. I’m hypothesizing that we might have north starred the wrong thing by starting our creative strategy process with the avatar instead of the brand POV.

@LiveBreatheTek @SawyerMerritt Yes! Lol. I LOVE the CT and couldn’t live without FSD — they’re amazing products. But let’s call a spade a spade. More range is genuinely necessary (occasionally) and it’s frustrating that other automakers are pushing the envelope there while Tesla lag on it.

Don’t you just love when people enjoy range increase and when you wish Tesla would do the same, people post every excuse in the books as to why it shouldn’t lol. Tesla truly put EV’s on the map but seem to be falling behind in certain areas. People sweep it under the rug and throw FSD in your face.

@DanLeplombier @SawyerMerritt You also might want to be able to go away for a weekend without needing to charge. Eg 2 hours to destination, 2 hours back, and some driving around over the course of the weekend. Or if you travel into a state/national park, there isn’t charging until you exit the park.

@DanLeplombier @SawyerMerritt You travel ~80%-10% between stops so 70% is usable (308 miles). On the highway, and especially in bad weather, you’re lucky if you get 80% of that, so now down to 246 miles. At 70mph that’s 3.5 hrs, which people often drive before wanting to stop, and def too short between meals.

Having withdrawals after finishing Mad Men. Which show should my wife and I rewatch? Thinking same era of prestige TV. We’ve done BB and BCS recently, and GoT. Not super interested in a 100+ episodes like Lost or West Wing. Did Sopranos during Covid. Give me your suggestions!

Purchasing the AirPods Max is my biggest product buy regret. Do not buy them. They miss the mark on connectivity, comfortability, and price. The fabric loosened on the head band, so now I have two metal bars digging into my head. Needed a $40 cord to connect to airplane screens. And you need to put them in and out of the case to get it to properly connect to your computer at times.
Marques Brownlee@MKBHD

AirPods Max 2 - Same design - 1.5x stronger noise cancellation - New amplifiers - H2 chip, which enables several things, like: - Live translation, camera remote - Still $550 apple.com/newsroom/2026/… (I hope this puts into perspective how insane Macbook Neo for $499 is lol)

From the lawsuit filed against Superhuman today: "Contrary to the apparent belief of some tech companies, it is unlawful to appropriate peoples' names and identities for commercial purposes, whether those people are famous or not." That is accurate and worth remembering for all advertisers.

@seempaq @MaxMulvihil In one sense, yes — swapping an rxbar instead of a muffin is definitely good for you. Whole foods are generally a better choice. But for anyone who cares about a clean/lean diet, the sugar in them, albeit natural, is still bad for you. Even fruit should be eaten in moderation.
