We don’t need to wait for society to embrace our hair, we should embrace it ourselves. Black women often wear wigs because popular culture promotes them as the better look

@Nesseri @CoocHeona Ok and i love that for you but you are a very small minority. Stop acting as if theres so many BM that are so accepting of all hair textures because that is not the case. If our textures were so embraced, by both men and women, so many BW wouldn't be wearing wigs.

And it would make sense for them bc they constantly need their hair styled, wigs serve as a protective measure to prevent damage. Frontal wigs were originally designed for theater performances.

@WFeelins @Nesseri It takes time and patience to lay and style a wig. Wigs are not always protective, nor do they necessarily contribute to hair growth. In fact, most of my clients with long hair have never worn wigs. I used to be a silky wig wearer and my reason was because I hated my natural hair

I'm the teacher you wish your kids would have. Salary is laughable, but everyday I'm at work before 7am. Haven't been promoted in almost 10 years (civil service), but I still teach Chemistry today with the same passion I had when I started the job. If e easy, run am!
