I'll admit, I've liked the Connie storyline. I always gathered she would have to go back at some point. And from that we might get some emotional scenes - meaning acting showcase. 👌 But I'm really happy for what's it's done Carla's confidence. That self- doubt she's had entire life has been proven wrong. She can do it. It's been so lovely to see. #CarlaConnor #Swarla

I repeat a concept that I've been writing since August: the reason why I didn't want Becky's plot is right in front of everyone's eyes now. Everything Lisa does is analysed by Twitter's RIS (CSI or whatever they are called in every country) to find the hair in the egg of an error or a motivation for which to then say "see? She did this.” “see? She did that.” "She doesn't respect Carla." "She left Connie alone for 3 days and didn't keep the agreements with Carla." Etc. Small things and big things. Every episode is like this. Becky's plot was a flop and we all agreed but we have to move on and give Lisa a chance. She literally accepted Rob's (Carla's family) little girl without batting an eyelid, rather than leaving her with social services, even though Rob was a danger to Carla and Betsy and herself. And she risked losing Carla first and then Betsy (as a daughter because of the fact that she shot her). I understand that you hate Lisa (in my opinion so much is not justified but different opinions) but objectively she is behaving very well with Connie, Carla and her family. She went into protection mode with Jodie and this only shows the great love she has for them both. She didn't trust her only daughter with Connie let alone imagine if she enters the house and sees a stranger... even the comparisons with Becky can't hold up as much as I hated every single part of that plot. Becky was her wife and Betsy's mother. She had a role, as much as we hated her, Jodie is a stranger taken at random from the street inside their house and with their little girl. And she didn’t know anything about this. Please move on and give Lisa a chance. #Corrie #Swarla

Soon changing your choice of wording. Sure, you love Carla. You know us real fans of the her character know she no angel- most of us don't want our character to be angels- but in this relationship she worked her hardest. And THIS relationship is what matters. You are no better than all those men you just degraded Carla over.

@MargheritAxen I’m not blaming, I love Carla, but I’m just limited to the number of words I can use. But these people who are forever hating Lisa literally cast Carla as an angel, who could never do anything wrong.

@MargheritAxen Crazy the way Lisa’s judged, yeah she’s human and she’s made mistakes, but she would never hurt anyone intentionally. Now Carla has been responsible for someone’s death, run down multiple people with her car, countless affairs, slept with Michelle’s son 🤮, the list is endless.

The pub is now more central and full again..and I like the multiple unsavoury characters atm tbh. But there's long periods of not seeing people that you think..if they left, anyone notice?

#Emmerdale just seem to make there 22 minute episodes work better than #Corrie

Am I the only one who thinks that Carla would never, ever, under any circumstances, leave that baby with a complete stranger?

Jodie wasn't no longer there my love. I get they have this thing where Lisa struggles to use her words in the moment. I do. Especially when she's got concrete evidence to back up her suspicions. I just didn't land well to me. That's all. It's clear that scene was Purely put in showcase the beginning of Jodie about to do something weird. And they used to it as a device to showcase being on Lisa's radar. I loved the beginning with how excited lisa was excited to see Connie and how much Carla was excited to see when she came back- those two bits made me so happy, but apart from that whole scene was a miss for me. The audience are suspious of her anyways.

@corriefan1963 I love how much of a day she wants to make it. A lot people take the piss because shes done it a few times. Assume she would be jaded. But she really wants to make the day special.

She's had so much to love to give. When they introduced Carla they could have easily had written her as the "wife of" type character. With no substance. But they didn't they made her multi dimensional and complex. She wore her "bad bitch" persona as shield. To protect herself. But they kept showing us glimpses of the real Carla behind the barb wire. The auidence fell in love with Carla and they got rid of the husband. 😆 Sorry, Paul. She claimed to not like children because she didn't want to entertain the prospect of possibly being like her mom. Maria called her out once. Saying something along the lines of "you pretend you don't like kids but we see you pecking (mother hen) at Ryan," Can't remember the exact words used but you get the gist.

@JenniferD92 I remember when she lost the baby and it did break my heart. Roy being there....always being there makes my heart full. Roy always being in her corner and Lisa in her corner now makes Carla so much stronger! So loved...so part of a family..a family she can call her own!
