@rubyjnkie I make all of my jams & Bonne Maman is one of the only brands I buy if I need a certain flavor for recipes. They're the best flavor & all real ingredients.
If the GOP gets control of the House, who are the two or three GOP members of Congress that Pelosi can convince to switch to being Dems in order to save our Democracy? It’s not out of the question…obviously would need to be from a swing district and be a Repub w/a conscience…
@_jesspeacock What's very interesting here is the student's possible relationship to currency. I wonder if pennies don't even compute for them (even though you clearly said cent)? Like an internal autocorrect.
More than 20 MILLION Americans have already voted early. That’s incredible, but think about how many more would if everyone had access to early voting in their state. Do not forget: voting rights are on the ballot.
@claudiatenney As Claudia mocks an 82 year old man lying in ICU after being assaulted by a man radicalized by GOP hate speech, let’s take a look at Claudia’s voting record which clearly indicates that her only concerns are the interests of her rich donors and her own personal ambitions:
Upset about test scores? Then fund kids. Fund education. Give them housing, food, clothes and resources. Start with diapers, start with their families and their health. Give them books to read, childcare, and early education with lots of play. #nced#ncpol
@JenniferPerillo And it doesn’t help that in these reports now on major news outlets-instead of actually talking to teachers, everyone is getting insights from experts and officials who haven’t been in a classroom in years or ever. 😒
As a parent and a former teacher, the “nations report card” was not a surprise. The system and communities were set up to fail long before lockdown. When curriculums are created to pass a test assuming everyone has the same starting line-what did they think was going to happen?
Now they are helping kids “catch up” to the standard test scores that, let’s be honest, are arbitrary at best. So shut up about “learning loss,” and be grateful for schools being a life line to our kids during a global quarantine. 3/
