@teachthemx3 I have never lived anywhere in the US that has HS classes start before 8 am. HS activities, such as sports and band, often schedule practices or gym time before school here.

We could improve high school student performance by starting school at 8:30 instead of 7:00. I’ll never understand why elementary school starts later than high school. Elementary kids are up and energized by 6 a.m. Half of my first-period class is asleep, and another 20% is late. Each late entrance disrupts the lesson.
