It’s now an 8-6 Phone first *ONLY service now at Lagan Valley ED. Call, speak with senior clinician, be scheduled, seen quicker, spend less time there, less crowded ED. Plenty of slots. A minority will be signposted to a more appropriate service.

Don’t normally post alot on here but oh my goodness- horrendous customer service from @Apple on day 2 of what I thought was a simple problem and still not sorted! Being passed from pillar to post and getting so frustrated! Anyone else have a similar experience??

In the past 24 hours 613 patients have spent > 12 hours in our EDs in Northern Ireland as a direct consequence of inadequate / reducing capacity in the face of increasing demand. @VP_NI_RCEM @RCollEM

Absolutely @VP_NI_RCEM . Narrative needs to move from EDs not coping to ‘Hospital capacity not coping with demand for beds leading to ED congestion and delays. Need service reform AND investment to improve capacity and staffing to match demand.

Unfortunatelty some patients waiting for over over 2 days to get access to acute bed in NI, Trusts have been encouraging patients #choosewell and not come to EDs unless they must. But these are the most unwell patients who need Emergency admission bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northe…
