Very interesting news from the Times! “The King has hired a leading royal correspondent to become one of his senior media advisers, The Times has learnt. Rhiannon Mills will join the royal household press office as media secretary to Charles and Camilla after more than a decade of reporting on the royal family for Sky News. Her partner, Andrew Parsons, already works as a photographer for the Prince and Princess of Wales. Now Mills has been poached to join the royal household, moving away from reporting on the royal family, of which she has sometimes been critical, to help with their PR.”

I’m starting to think Richard’s “palace sources” are less insider, more… committed bluff. Yes, it’s about Harry and Meghan - but it’s also about the media desperately wanting the Sussex drama back. Because the reality they’re avoiding is a King William era with no soap opera. Just William, his nuclear family, and a lot more Middleton stability than Mountbatten-Windsor chaos - which, inconveniently, is what’s actually made you money. And that’s the panic. No drama, no circus. So maybe these “sources” aren’t quite what they seem. Maybe it’s a mutually beneficial loop between the Sussexes and the tabloids they claim to hate. Then again, Meghan always was rather comfortable shaping the narrative with the media, wasn’t she.

Thanks as always, Jen. As usual, and perfectly correctly, not the slightest reveal of what the Special Relationship actually *is*. It’s quite amusing that Trump is planning to go ‘shock and awe’ with the US ‘military might’. The US has (a lot!) more kit and troops and money - but no one will convince me (or I suspect, the King) which military *looks* better! 🤣😂😉

Do people genuinely believe this behaviour is charming? Woman, you are almost or already in your 50s. Ugh, I feel so anxious watching this invasion of personal space.
