Musk even called for the EU to be abolished over it. 💥 But what does the 2025 World Press Freedom Index say? The WPFE shows that the top 15 countries in the world for press freedom are all in Europe, with 12 of them being EU member states. EU-related reforms should involve all parts of society and political spectrum. In this context, I welcome the recent progress made on the Unified Voter Register and the REM Council. My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the UK’s Jewish community after the violent attack on a synagogue in Manchester. While in Copenhagen, I conveyed my condolences to Prime Minister Keir Starmer. That this attack took place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it all the more appalling. We must keep fighting antisemitism in all its forms.
