@DJScottGarcia @wearefoor @djredhot You've only got to look at house or dnb where you will struggle to find old music being played as they embrace the new. Garage is stuck in a rut and it may well be moving in the right direction but it's miles behind.

@DJScottGarcia @wearefoor @djredhot I would say they are both. Garage is definitely fractured. I've seen first hand people get taken advantage of by oldskool guys in the hope of getting booked to play for free or be a driver. That's not to say there aren't new guys doing great stuff .......

@Jepadee @djredhot And believe me don’t buy into the narrative that legends are threatened by new talent. All “legends” were new talent once too and they had to make their way.

@DJScottGarcia @djredhot No at all mate, I got to a point in my life where I had to prioritize. I had to focus on my business and providing for my family. Music was costing me too much money.

@DJScottGarcia @djredhot Of course one event wouldn't change a scene and that event cost me a fortune 🤣🤣 we pushed for a long time. We guested on rinse, had a regular show on reprezent, held rooms at garage nation. If anything we got shit reception from "legends" like they felt threatened almost

@Jepadee @djredhot I’m sure you had support bro, but one event can’t change things, you have to keep pushing. And sometimes it will feel exhausting and pointless. Investing in the scene is essential for the growth IMO a big problem was that no one wanted to invest or risk their money.

@DJScottGarcia I even put on a night of 100% new garage with a killer line up of new djs including @djredhot & MOAD and no one was interested. Shame really
