If you are seeing less calls this year on your Google Business Profile, you are not alone. This study we did with Jepto looked at 179 lawyer profiles over the last year and shows a clear decline in clicks-to-call from Google business profiles.  Local SEO for 2026 is going to be harder, more competitive and likely needs more diverse approaches to getting traffic.

Google is removing their Q&A API in November, according to @dale_mcgeorge at @JeptoApp. It seems the Questions & Answers feature will be updated and possibly scaled back.  If you manage GBP, heads up—this could change how you monitor or pull Q&A data. @ColanNielsen @rustybrick The Business Calls API, which provided data on answered and missed calls as part of the 'Call History' tab, was deprecated back in May 2023. So the only way to get the data is through Google Takeout.

@rustybrick It appears that the call data is still available via API. If I had to guess this is a temporary glitch.
