History Repeating itself Tragic that we are at this point again, but interestingly, and what must be a deliberate choice, they have opted for an identical cohort to that ordained by Mgr. Lefebvre in 1988; 2 Seminary Rectors 1 District Superior 1 who is much younger than all of the others The obvious objective here is to try to guarantee another 40 years of life for the society outside the visible structure of the Church before they “need” to do this again.

JUST IN: SSPX Announces Four Priests to Be Consecrated as Bishops on July 1: dianemontagna.substack.com/p/sspx-announc… In a statement released today at 2:32pm (Rome), the SSPX said the four priests are: Father Pascal Schreiber, of Swiss nationality; Father Michael Goldade, of American nationality; Father Michel Poinsinet de Sivry, of French nationality; Father Marc Hanappier, of French nationality. “In a spirit of respect toward the supreme authority of the universal Church, the dossiers of these priests were presented to the Holy Father, together with certain explanations necessary for a proper understanding of this step, within the very particular and exceptional context of these episcopal consecrations,” the statement added. So the 'Pope' has released a new encyclical letter. Watch closely now how all the recognize-and-resist apologists react. Do they receive the (putatively) papal teachings with docility and submission, conforming their minds, wills, and consciences to them, as a Catholic must? Or do they get ready to critique the letter, telling their followers what they can and cannot accept, what's "traditional" and what isn't, and what's a danger to the Faith? Do they strive to the make the encyclical's contents known and accepted, or do they try to dismiss the text as not binding and ultimately irrelevant to a Catholic's doctrinal or moral life?
