I wrote about socialism and democracy, which I’m sure won’t be a controversial. @jmelessu/socialism-is-about-democracy-99cb145e64ec" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@jmelessu/soci…

@Spidey_pte The symbiote took Peter’s body for webswinging while he slept, Peter wondered why he was exhausted, and he got checked out by the FF. He got rid of the suit because it was an alien he was worried was feeding on him, not because it made him evil or something.

@Spidey_pte The original symbiote storyline literally just had Peter being overtired, that’s it. That’s the extent of what the symbiote did to him: it made him exhausted.

Making the symbiote evil shifts the narrative from “Peter made a complicated, human mistake” to “Peter was mind-controlled by an evil alien so that obviously wasn't him” And that lets him off the hook in a way Spider-Man stories usually don’t
Jake The Artist@Jake_The_Artist

well then what the fuck is it supposed to do like let it just be a suit. ok. but just a suit? Yea its an alien one but damn thats fucking boring. and so it makes him go on somnabulism roof jumping sprees and then? thats not interesting.

“It’s the woman who killed the Snake!” cry Saito outlaws as Atsu shows up dramatically. Fellas, she also killed the Oni too. That’s a pretty big thing that happened. Like, I get where you coming from, but she very much killed the Oni and dismantled his operation.

It’s an open-world game with non-linear choices in the beginning, but those choices don’t seem to affect how the narrative behaves. I went after the Oni before going to the Saito compound, but the cutscenes during the latter don’t reflect my actions in the former

Late to the party on this, but I wish Ghost of Yōtei (which I’m thoroughly enjoying over all) reacted a bit more to the decisions you make. I wish Junpei commented when you wore his headband, for example.

@Sorazure15 I just realized; his Aunt May is not related to him by blood. Other than his sister (who was not a character at this point), I don’t think there was literally ANYONE related to him by blood

This scene would feel more threatening if perhaps he had a wife who perhaps had a kid on the way… Just saying

@ProfofEvil He should use Toyman. Either as the main villain or as an Ultimate Shocker-type that Superman has to take a few minutes to stop every few weeks.

This opens up an interesting question about what the best "back-to-back" runs are in comic history? I would need time to generate a proper list, but this, Lee/Conway on Spider-Man, Bendis/Brubaker and Miller/Nocenti on Daredevil all spring to mind.

In terms of all-time great follow-up comic runs, Doom Patrol going from Grant Morrison to Rachel Pollack is surely up there. (Doom Patrol Vol 2 #78 by Rachel Pollack and Ted Ted McKeever)
