This past weekend was special My friend Lorenzo Roos told me I had to check out Primosagro event… and boy was he right. Meeting rice farming sisters Flavia Iasmine who turn their crops into skincare products to learning about precision planting, soil health, and genetics the educational aspect was incredible. Connecting with the Case IH team and getting inside one of their popular combines in South America will allow me to start designing new Razor’s Edge concaves! People is how innovation and connection happens on farms everywhere. Day 2 was about the fun and the biggest highlight? The people. Big energy and powerful story from Eduardo & Joào , and a community and people like Jose Vithoria ConsultingAgro and many more that truly care about pushing agriculture forward. I’ve been to events all over the world but this one stands out. Today was one of those days that makes my job the best in the world. I spent the day at Aurora Seed Farm in Rio Grande do Sul with my team working side by side with their team -checking loss, dialing in the combine, and pushing to get every bit of performance out of the machine with our concaves. This wasn’t easy work. We fought losses in tough conditions, we adjusted settings, tested, adjusted and tested again. The results we achieved in reduced mechanical damage and reduced fuel were impressive. I was seriously impressed with the Aurora crew how they were organized, their attention to detail, and their commitment to doing things right is next level. We were in the middle of working on reducing the losses when the machine broke down and the rain came in. Unfortunately, the forecast has forced us to pause testing… but we’ll be back to finish what we started and will get the combine dialled in. Now it’s off to Safra for a 2-day event. One of those nights that reminds me exactly why I love what I do. Talking harvest loss, problem-solving across languages, and learning together made it a fantastic night. Our first @Agritrade? Total chaos. We didn’t know what we were doing, ended up beside the toy booths, and even crashed our trailer on the way home.
