For real rapid fire question and big frustration of mine with a looot of US folks (most europeans english speakers seem to not trip on that) Is the formal use of YOU in the sense of "FOLKS" not a thing for you americans anymore ? Especially on a public forum like twitter ?

take it from somebody who spent his young adolescence in isolation catching up on 20 prior years of games. it's just true. stuff like avgn (once the angry nintendo nerd) rose to early popularity partly bc people were harboring anger and resentment about the time they've wasted.

part of the reason some ""old-school gamers"" are gatekeepy abt difficulty is bc they have to rationalize allllll the time they've wasted on cheap deaths, design oversights, and lack of saving /somehow/. it's the gamer equivalent of boomers getting mad abt universal health care.
