Ok! So, nobody in my peer group (I was in primary school in those days) loved that game to any notable degree. I was totally hooked for a time. I am glad to finally meet a fellow enthusiast! And what's more, an enthusiast turned creator/builder. Salutations.

Doublings and halvings. In music, after doubling or halving, you get the "same note". Here you have sameness across doublings/halvings too.

I've long been attracted to truchet tiles. My first reaction when I see this (Apart from how algorithmic hand drawings are so cool) is that this reminds me of Truchet tiles, but with changes in scale.

I've made huge progress today!
Here we have diagonal paths, straight paths, and doubling/halving behavior all in one.
There are still some bugs remaining, and not everything is finished. But I'm incredibly happy with this result.
