I reached out to the people I owed, spoke to them directly, and asked for time. I made it clear I was committed to paying back, but I needed space to rebuild properly. After that, I made a very important decision: I stopped trading. Because I understood something most people ignore trading is performance-based. It doesn’t reward urgency, pressure, or desperation. So trying to trade your way out of debt is already a flawed mindset. When you need a trade to win, you’ve already lost psychologically. So I separated two things: survival vs trading. I focused on survival first. I went into side businesses, supplying nylon, and later setting up a POS stand with people managing it. That gave me steady cash flow and removed the immediate financial pressure. Only after I stabilized myself mentally and financially did I return to trading in 2022. And this time, I approached it differently: - Smaller risk - Patience over frequency - Only high-quality setups - No emotional attachment to outcomes The debt wasn’t cleared by one big win or revenge trading. It was cleared gradually, with structure and discipline. So to answer you directly:
No, I didn’t trade my way out of debt. I stepped away, fixed my foundation first, then came back to trading the right way. Most people fail because they try to use trading as an emergency escape plan. That’s not what it’s built for.

There is a feature on hybrid inverters and on-grid solar systems called feeding to the grid. This feature allows you to send excess energy generated from panels or even from the battery to the DisCo. It is not fully available in Nigeria, and it is considered a violation in some parts of the country, but let me explain how it works. Mostly in the United States, you can sell excess power coming from your panels to the DisCo and be rewarded at the end of the month. If your battery is fully charged, let’s say by 12 pm, and the load on the system is just 100 W while the panels are generating 2 kW at peak, at that moment there is excess energy of 1.8 to 1.9 kW which you can sell back to the DisCo instead of wasting it. Sometimes it lets your prepaid meter run backward, like it increases the units on your meter.

As promised, here is the exact plan I used to scale my prop firm portfolio to $6.9M. Instead of pushing one account to the limit, I focused on building a portfolio so I could reduce risk per account by spreading trades across more capital. The process was simple: • pass challenges • secure funded accounts • keep risk consistent and gradually reduce it as the portfolio grows • reinvest 100% of payouts into new accounts I ranked prop firms based on my overall evaluation and experience and worked through the list from top to bottom, scaling each one to its max allocation. As more funded accounts were added, risk per trade had to be reduced to avoid concentration risk when trading them simultaneously. My recommendation: • 0.75% – 1% risk in challenge phases • 0.5% – 0.75% in funded stages I attached a PDF with the full prop firm ranking and the exact scaling structure so I can provide as much value as possible.
