Leaders: your title was never the whole story. It was just a chapter. What comes after losing the role you built your identity around? @jerrycolonna shares his advice: buff.ly/4KcFFC6

Read a fab book by @jerrycolonna called Reboot (hi Jerry). One line really stuck w/me. “Stop BS’ing yourself”.
total perspective change. You played a role in where you’re at. Own it. whether it’s all of the reason or u were only a partial contributor or chose to allow it. You brought yourself here.
If you don’t like it, stop looking outside for people/events/etc to blame. You make the decision to change because that’s in your hands.

@carleenhaylett @TheGeoMethod Hi! Thanks for the kind words.

YOU are the reason you’re not where you want to be in life.
Not your line of work.
Not the state of the world.
Not the cards you were dealt.
YOU.
When I first started in sales, I was horribly bad at it.
Made a grand total of ZERO dollars in the first 6 months.
The offer we sold was expensive.
Nobody had heard of our firm.
It would have been very easy to blame the situation.
I remember complaining about it once…
And my manager cut me off:
“Whenever one finger is pointing at someone else, there are three pointing back at you.”
It stuck with me.
Because he was right.
So I stopped blaming the circumstances,
and started taking responsibility.
Because when the environment isn’t helping you…
There’s only one thing left to improve:
Yourself.
Do it even if the “timing” isn’t right.
Do it when the situation looks sub-optimal.
Do it even though all odds are stacked against you.
Assume 100% personal responsibility, and something interesting happens:
You stop depending on circumstances you can’t control…
And start building the one thing you can.
Yourself.
