West Boca Raton running back Terrell Hardman (6-0, 195) is one of the most underrated prospects in the Class of 2028. Before the start of the spring, I introduced South Florida to its next superstar after scouting his film in Port St. Lucie. From a pure talent standpoint, I believe he’s the No. 1 running back in South Florida in the 2028 recruiting class. After transferring from the Port St. Lucie area to back-to-back Florida state champion West Boca Raton, he entered the season as a relatively unknown prospect, which likely played a role in his current three-star rating. Since then, Hardmon has backed up the hype, dominating in both 7-on-7 and tackle football in one of the nation’s premier hotbeds for producing Division I and NFL talent. Along the way, he’s earned more than 20 FBS offers, including at least 10 from Power Four programs. Too many student-athletes spend 9th and 10th grade focused only on athletics, then try to figure out academics during 11th and 12th grade. By then, they’re playing catch-up. At Rise Preparatory Academy, we do it differently. We build the academic plan early so our student-athletes can enjoy the results later while everyone else is scrambling. Calvin Russell is a perfect example. Before enrolling at Rise Preparatory Academy, he had already earned high school credits in middle school and entered with a 3.0 GPA. From there, we created an academic plan that allowed him to complete all of his high school graduation requirements before the start of his senior year. Then we took it a step further. Kevin didn’t just earn college credits online—he physically attended classes at Miami Dade College, sitting in a college classroom alongside college students while still in high school. By the time he enrolled at Syracuse University, he already had college credits under his belt. That’s what we do. We don’t just help student-athletes earn scholarship offers—we make sure they’re academically prepared long before the recruiting process reaches its peak. Athletics may open the door, but academics keep every opportunity alive.

Doral Academy (FL) 29’ CB Khalil Thomas (@_khaliltb) Thomas is one of South Florida’s rising stars. He’s a veteran when it comes to varsity reps. He has been a varsity player since the spring of his 7th-grade year. Thomas picked up (18) Division I offers this past season, including Power Four offers from Nebraska, Missouri, Cal, Louisville, Pittsburgh, and Kentucky. In his first full season at cornerback, he recorded (4) interceptions and earned selection to the Rising Stars All-South Florida Freshman Team. He’s a cornerback with great hips, the hands and ball skills of a wide receiver — the performance you’re watching came this past spring. The scary part? Last season was his first year playing cornerback full-time. His ceiling is only beginning to be tapped.

Florida Christian School (FL) 30’ CB Nehemiah Floyd (@NehemiahFloyd25) Floyd is ready for Year 2 on varsity. As an 8th grader, Floyd led all eighth-grade varsity players in the state of Florida on varsity with 4 interceptions, while not allowing a single touchdown all season. His outstanding play earned him a selection to the RNR All-American Game and the Dade vs. Broward 8th Grade All-Star Game, where he started both games at cornerback. Floyd has already picked up 4 Division I offers. Now standing a legitimate 6-foot-0, Floyd was also ranked as the No. 2 overall player on the Rising Stars 8th Grade All-South Florida Team on Varsity and also the No. 1 overall 8th Grade defensive player in South Florida on varsity last season. One of the nation’s premier young defensive backs, Nehemiah Floyd is a name every college coach should have on their radar this upcoming season.

Congratulations to Louisville early enrollee cornerback Jaydin Broadnax on being named to the ACC Freshman to Watch List! Broadnax, a three-year starter at West Boca Raton High School, helped lead the Bulls to back-to-back FHSAA state championships before graduating from Rise Preparatory Academy. Now at Louisville, the talented freshman is already earning conference recognition as one of the ACC’s top newcomers to watch entering the 2026 season.

Congratulations to Gabe Hardman on earning FCS Preseason All-American honors! South Dakota linebacker Gabe Hardman, a redshirt junior, has been named to the FCS Preseason All-American Team. A proud graduate of Rise Preparatory Academy and former standout at Miami Palmetto Senior High School, Gabe continues to represent South Florida at a high level.
