Wholehearted-Humanist
@Jespaniol28
Just a compassionate humanist with an old 'soul', a young heart, a global conscience and a modern mind trying to make sense of the world. #defactoatheist

@elaine_oz You made the comment about god looking out of our eyes to see 'his' creation. This is what I was responding to. There have been many creation stories throughout the world/history but none with any proof. They are nothing but beliefs and cannot *honestly* be touted as truth.
English

@elaine_oz Without evidence, it's not a fact, just a belief. We can embrace whatever beliefs we want but we can't go around stating them as truth. That's dishonest.
English

@elaine_oz Ive seen this claim made before, but where's the evidence that confirms it?
English

@MichaelBense Yes, there are plenty of good people within religion. It's the fundamentalists who are the problem. This makes me have to ask: if the very fundamentals of a religion are rotten, why support the institution at all? We certainly don't need it to be good people. That's been proven.
English

@processfairy @abigailm1971 That's why it's written as 'soul'.
English

@Jespaniol28 @abigailm1971 I’m curious about how an atheist can also self- identify as an old soul?
English

@10Luno @Kate97417476 Feel free to change the labels to suit your indignance. I can't imagine being so worked up over labels yet not spare a single word in recognition of all the harm caused. We MUST be able to talk about this topic honestly or things won't improve.
English

@Jespaniol28 @Kate97417476 "Society" is not a person with the ability to 'describe'. That's how whole elites used ideologies and still do to wipe out and enslave whole peoples. It takes one to think one. Who are you, hiding behind 'society', to judge what is harmful harm? Use labels agreed by both sides.
English

@dubl_eh_ Never mind...found a fitting one! Thanks for the 'push'. 😉
English

@dubl_eh_ As I also noted, Meyers-Briggs may be nonsense, but it's not dangerous nonsense. Still haven't thought up a good alternative name. Open to suggestions!
English

@dubl_eh_ I checked the other day and it had been over a year since I'd been on Twitter!!
English

@dubl_eh_ Copied & pasted from my reply to a similar question the other day: 'Good point. Someone pointed that out to me before, attaching an article that explained how the Meyers-Briggs was not valid science. I haven't been on Twitter in a LONG time. Maybe it's time to update my name!'
English

@10Luno @Kate97417476 Those aren't my labels. They're society's descriptions based on their behavior/life choices. And the point remains. Some beliefs ARE more inherently harmful than others & people need to be aware of that. It's the compassionate thing to do. Humanity deserves better.
English

@Jespaniol28 @Kate97417476 You've just de-humanised by your labels. It starts there and ends in you executing in name of your righteousness. It takes one to think one. Take the plank out of your eye before pointing to the speck in another's. People are people despite your labels or ideals and make mistakes
English

@CatDudeScott Also, should point out that, while Myers-Briggs may be nonsense, it's not dangerous nonsense.
English

@CatDudeScott Good point. Someone pointed that out to me before, attaching an article that explained how the Meyers-Briggs was not valid science. I haven't been on Twitter in a LONG time. Maybe it's time to update my name! 😅
