Got really tired of seeing Bronfenbrenner's bioecological model illustrated only w/ white boys. So we made a new (prettier) version centering Black girls. Please RT & share in your psych classes! Full article on #attachment & #antiracism is open access: doi.org/10.1080/146167…

The best predictor of scientific impact isn't gender, seniority, methodology, or geography, it is the informal network of colleagues and mentors who provide guidance and feedback. We are often ignore the most important source of success. Informal support networks are the unsung heroes in science. Joining a great community of supportive and collaborative colleagues might therefore be one of the most important keys to success. This is based on a new paper analyzing the scientific impact of 86,000 scholars. The authors found that informal connections (ie the people who you thank in acknowledgement sections) are more important that your coauthors in predicting publication productivity and impact. pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

This Earth Day is a special one—it also falls during @nature_org's 75th anniversary. So tomorrow, let’s make it a day for all generations: a chance to connect with the natural world around us, and with each other. Because the future of our shared home isn’t something that just happens to us—it’s something we shape, together.

Some people argue that keeping an open-mind makes it easier to believe in conspiracy theories. But we found the exact oppposite in our newest paper. Open-mindedness was the strongest predictor of *rejecting* conspiracy theories in a sample of 46,745 participants around the world In particular, participants who were threatened by people who disagree with them were the most likely to believe conspiracy theories. cambridge.org/core/journals/… This paper was led by @philipparnamets @moral_psych and @Robert_M_Ross

The mass replication studies published in Nature today are insane, exemplary and an enormous pile of work to improve science. It's just so awesome how many people spent time on this in return to be 1/100 coauthors on a thing. Just outstanding 🙌🙌🙌 1/
