On a more positive note, I am feeling super excited and enthusiastic about my placement, and my cohort feels incredibly supportive of one another already, but I just wanted to normalise these feelings some more in case there are any other new trainees that can relate.

These first few weeks of the doctorate aren’t feeling how I dreamed. Don’t get me wrong, there are SO many positives from the last couple of weeks… but I’ve also felt incredibly lonely, deskilled, and lost. I’m so appreciative of the tweets I’ve seen normalising these feelings.
