@MichaelRosenYes I work in a secondary school. As an introduction to Shakespeare they show a clip of you speaking at the Globe theatre. Every year, the year 7s, on seeing you on screen, collectively gasp in delight ‘Michael Rosen!’ Promptly followed by shouting ‘CHOCOLATE CAKE!’ 😊

For school dinns today, in a school today, I went with baked potato and beans. Also on offer was a homemade chocolate cake in celebration of my 'Chocolate Cake' saga. There was a discussion about the jam filling.

Blood pressure update: Doing twice a day observations. It appears cutting out caffeine has taken 30 points off my reading so I’m down to a still-not-great-but-less-alarming 140 over 89.

@NachoSuitable I am too. I’ve read the books and I think he’s softer than the books portray but more engaging. I’ve also found I’ve forgotten most of it.

Air bnb’s cleaning charges and hidden charges really piss me off.

Been to Chester zoo today with my family. At one point we passed a lady shouting at her screaming toddler to ‘shut up!’ As we walked by my autistic 6yr old said quietly ‘mummy making things worse.’ He is wise that one.

The vet tells me my Pru is 15 and a half. Evidently I’ve been saying she’s 13/14 for a few years.

I like Gillian Anderson and I’ve realised the reason I do so much is because she reminds me of my childhood best friend, Haf.

Had the best nights sleep in a tent, ever. It’s more a circus tent, 7m diameter, 5beds, -actual beds - with mattresses and duvets. So cosy. Lying here now listening to everyone still snoring away. Campsite has lamas, turkeys, ducks. Boys are in heaven.
